Dark nebula. Actually there are several objects in this image. The dark nebula that forms the Horsehead itself is known as Barnard 33 (B 33). The red background is the emission nebula IC 434 and bluish green object at lower left is the reflection nebula NGC 2023.

Mount: Losmandy G11 with Gemini Control with Advanced Telescope Systems portable pier
Images: 12 luminance @ 5 minutes each, 12 red @ 5 minutes each, 12 Green @ 5 minutes each, 12 Blue @ 5 minutes each for a total
                exposure time of 240 minutes.
